National Venture Capital Association (NVCA): The NVCA is the trade association that represents the venture capital industry. It is a member-based organization whose membership consists of venture capital firms that manage pools of capital to be invested in emerging companies. Currently, the NVCA represents 400+ member firms, representing the majority of venture capital invested in U.S. based companies.
SBIR/STTR Grant Information: The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs provide over 1 billion dollars per year to small businesses and university affiliates for commercial development in a wide range of scientific and technical areas. The SBIR and STTR programs are highly competitive and require submission of a grant proposal that is evaluated on degree of innovation, technical merit, and market potential.
