Highlights of Licensed Technologies Developed at Harvard and Sponsored Research Collaborations with Industry Partners
Fostering Next Generation Technologies, Advancing Next Generation Partnerships
Throughout the University, Harvard investigators are making new discoveries at an unprecedented rate — discoveries that are driving the development of next generation technologies. Never has the urgency been so palpable to turn these advances into breakthrough solutions that will improve human health and the world we live in. It is through the intimate association of our scientists collaborating with their counterparts in industry that discoveries forged on the research bench have the best chance to become tomorrow’s solutions to previously intractable problems. Harvard is determined to hasten the pace of this progress and ensure that research performed by our faculty will impact the world in profound ways. One indispensible method of doing so is through the process known as technology transfer.
The Office of Technology Development (OTD) accelerates the development of our faculty’s pioneering research discoveries through the protection of intellectual property and by fostering creative partnering with strong industry collaborators that take the form of licensing transactions and sponsored research agreements.
