2013 Blavatnik Fellows Share Lessons in Life Science Entrepreneurship

As the first year of the Blavatnik Fellowship program came to a close, the key advisory board gathered the inaugural group of Blavatnik Fellows to discuss their experiences and their project progress. The innovative program was launched last year as part of a gift given by HBS alumnus Len Blavatnik and the Blavatnik Family Foundation. The fellowship allows a select group of HBS alumni the opportunity to work with Harvard inventors to promote the commercialization of life science technologies with significant market potential. At the i-Lab on May 21, Professor Vicki Sato, Faculty Chair of the Fellowship, moderated a panel discussion with the outgoing fellows as they reflected upon the first year of the program. At the networking reception that followed, attendees had the opportunity to talk one-on-one with the Fellows to learn more about their projects. This event was crucial to obtaining key insight into the program as it continues to grow and make an impact on campus and beyond.
