Event Features Novel Harvard Technologies with Entrepreneurial Aspirations

High potential technologies are being developed at Harvard that could be on the brink of commercialization – given the right team. To help connect teams with the missing pieces to help launch a startup, OTD and i-Lab joined forces to host “Start-up Meet-up.” On April 8, nearly 150 researchers, students, innovators, and entrepreneurs joined at the i-Lab to ‘mix and match’ their research and business gaps. During the 3-minute ‘speed pitch’ sessions that kicked off the evening’s program, inventors had the opportunity to polish their best elevator pitches to gain interest for their technologies.

An excited buzz filled the spacious i-Lab lobby at the networking reception that followed, as connections were made and enthusiastic conversations began. Attendees shared ideas and experience with the hope of forming well-rounded teams poised to launch ventures that will impact the future of science and engineering.
