Speakers:

William Fitzhugh completed his PhD in Applied Physics in 2020 from Harvard University. He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Adden Energy, a company that is combating climate-change with next-gen battery technologies. Adden Energy was founded by a team of scientists at Harvard University as a Grid Accelerator project with Xin Li, Associate Professor of Materials Science at SEAS. By developing and scaling up a brand-new type of solid-state battery, benchmarks such as charge times as low as 3 minutes and capacity retention for over 10,000 cycles in a lab-scale cell have been realized. This technology will enable mass adoption of EVs around the world and contribute greatly to a cleaner future.

Frances Anastassacos, PhD, is a cofounder of Nabla Bio, Inc., a series-A stage biotech start-up focused on using AI and multiplex biology to enhance biologics design. She completed her PhD at Harvard in 2019 and has prior experience in venture capital at Flagship Pioneering, as well as roles in pharma and consulting. Frances holds a master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of St. Andrews. At Nabla, Frances' responsibilities span technical, business, and legal areas to drive the company’s mission.
