Vmn1r206/YFP Transgenic Mice
Vmn1r206 (vomeronasal 1 receptor 206; also called V1Rh7) is a member of the vomeronasal organ V1R gene family, whose activation is believed to be involved with pheromone detection. Inputs from neurons expressing closely related V1Rs intermingle within shared, spatially conserved domains of the accessory olfactory bulb (AOB). Vomeronasal sensory neurons expressing Vmn1r206 are labeled with tau-YFP in this mutant strain.
