Twelve advanced research projects aimed at developing new therapies and diagnostics receive support in 2015-16 from Harvard’s Blavatnik Biomedical Accelerator.

Five outstanding HBS alumni will work with inventors from Harvard University’s research laboratories to promote the commercialization of innovative life science-oriented technologies with significant market potential.

Editas was formed in November 2013 to develop genomic editing technologies licensed from medical research labs at Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.

Professors Andrew Myers, George Church, Gregory Verdine, David Mooney, George Whitesides, Xiaowei Zhuang, and John Collier were among the faculty members issued U.S. patents this July.
