Harvard Grid's Re-Imagining the Future of the Semiconductor Industry

October 3rd, 2023 ~ 06:00pm - 08:00pm

LL2. 221, Science and Engineering Complex, 150 Western Ave, Boston, MA 02134, USA

Harvard Business School Association of Boston (HBSAB) invite you to join a fireside chat on the Re-Imagining the Future of the Semiconductor Industry featuring HBS Professor Ethan S. Bernstein and Renesas Electronics President and CEO Hidetoshi Shibata on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd at the Science and Engineering Complex. Semiconductors are an essential building block in the goods and products that we use every day. They are critical to a range of sectors and products from cars to smartphones to medical equipment and also help power our infrastructure from our grid to our broadband. The semiconductor industry is highly globalized and interconnected, with the ecosystem spanning multiple countries and regions. Hidetoshi Shibata, Japanese HBS alumni and a CEO of a leading semiconductor supplier Renesas, will share his experience and perspectives on how he has been leading what had originally been a domestic Japanese chip company to amalgamate into a global semiconductor company.
