Wnt11-myrTagRFP-IRES-CE Transgenic Mice

These Wnt11-myrTagRFP-IRES-CE mutant mice have a tamoxifen inducible Cre-mediated recombination system and express the Tag-RFPT variant of Red Fluorescent Protein under the direction of the mouse Wnt11, wingless-related MMTV integration site 11, promoter. RFP fluorescence is detected by fluorescent microscope in the renal ureteric tips and collecting duct system and the lung at of 15.5 dpc age wholemount embryos. Direct (native) RFP fluorescence co-localizes with Cre activity in the developing collecting ducts, and immunohistochemical labeling of TagRFP co-localizes with Cre activity, in the ureteric tips. Tamoxifen inducible Cre recombinase activity is detected in ureteric buds and tree, the developing collecting ducts, male and female reproductive system and the lung. Mice that are hemizygous for the knock in allele are viable and fertile. The expected coat color is black or brown. The Jackson Laboratory 2024, used with permission.
